Samsung Galaxy A15 5G specs reveal one more usable camera, faster charging

Samsung will likely start the launch of its new smartphone lineup for 2024 with the Galaxy A15. It is a lower mid-range smartphone that is rumored to bring several upgrades over its predecessor, the Galaxy A14 5G. Now, a new report claims to reveal all of Galaxy A15 5G specifications.

Leaked Galaxy A15 5G specifications

According to tipster Paras Guglani, the Galaxy A15 will have a 6.5-inch screen with Full HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. A previous report claimed that the phone will have an OLED screen, a major upgrade over the Galaxy A14 5G’s LCD screen. The Galaxy A15 is also rumored to feature a 50MP primary camera, a 5MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP camera (likely macro). The primary camera could have 10x digital zoom. On the front, it appears to have a 13MP selfie camera.

The Galaxy A15 5G is rumored to come equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ processor, which has two Cortex-A77 CPU cores clocked at 2.2GHz, six Cortex-A55 CPU cores clocked at 2GHz, and the Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. The phone may have 4GB/6GB RAM, up to 128GB internal storage, and a microSD card slot. It will run Android 13 out of the box, according to the tipster, but we expect it to come with Android 14 pre-installed.

Other features of the phone could include GPS, 5G, a dual-SIM card slot, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The Galaxy A15 is powered by a 5,000mAh battery that will be compatible with 25W fast charging. That’s an upgrade from Galaxy A14 5G’s 15W fast charging. It will have a side-mounted fingerprint reader.

Galaxy A15 5G rumored pricing

The Galaxy A15 5G could be available in two colors: Black and Blue. It might launch with a $150 price tag in the US. If this information is correct, it looks like a pretty good smartphone for the price.

Since the phone will likely run Android 14 (One UI 6.0) out of the box, you might want to have a look at all the new features Samsung’s new software brings in our in-depth video below.

Author’s Note: Samsung is upgrading the Galaxy A15 to support 5G. However, the Galaxy A05 and the Galaxy A05s have launched already and lack 5G connectivity. So, it is possible that all Samsung smartphones launching in 2025 will support 5G networks.
