Apple Unveils a new 24″ iMac with Powerful M3 Chips and More Memory

Apple’s recent “Scary fast” event left tech enthusiasts buzzing with excitement as the tech giant unveiled its groundbreaking M3 chips, alongside new MacBooks and a sleek 24″ iMac. This new iMac is powered by the formidable M3 chip, featuring a design reminiscent of its M1-powered predecessor. However, the M3 chip boasts impressive performance gains. Making it up to twice as fast as the M1 iMac, 2.5 times quicker than the Intel-based 27″ iMac. And an astounding 4 times speedier than its 21.5″ Intel-based counterpart.

Introducing the new 24″ iMac: Apple’s M3 Chip Takes Center Stage

In addition to its raw power, the M3 iMac now offers more memory options. The 8-core GPU model comes with 8GB, 16GB, and 24GB RAM, as well as 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB SSD storage choices, while the 10-core GPU version provides a generous 2TB storage option. Furthermore, there’s a 10-core GPU variant equipped with 512GB of base storage.

The 8-core GPU model comes in classic blue, green, pink, and silver colors. While the 10-core GPU version offers three additional options in yellow, orange, and purple. Regardless of your choice, Apple provides color-matched wallpapers and accessories to ensure a seamless aesthetic experience.

The M3 iMac also brings connectivity enhancements, with the 10-core GPU model offering two additional USB-3 ports, and the 8-core GPU variant boasting two Thunderbolt 3/USB 4 ports. It now supports Wi-Fi 6E for faster downloads and Bluetooth 5.3 for better compatibility with the latest Bluetooth accessories. The 10-core GPU models even offer Gigabit Ethernet, which is configurable on the 8-core GPU version.

The M3 iMac’s display is a dazzling 4.5K Retina Display with a resolution of 4,480×2,250 pixels and a peak brightness of 500 nits. Equipped with a six-speaker system that supports Spatial Audio and Dolby Atmos, it delivers a remarkable audiovisual experience. The device also features a high-quality 1080p FaceTime camera and a studio-quality three-microphone array for crystal-clear communication.

Environmentally conscious consumers will appreciate that Apple has constructed the M3 iMac using sustainable materials, including 100% recycled aluminum in the stand, rare earth magnets, and recycled tin soldering in multiple PCBs, with plating using 100% recycled gold—a remarkable first for an iMac.

The M3 iMac is priced at $1,299 for the base 8-core GPU model and $1,499 for the 10-core GPU version. Both are available for order through Apple’s official website in 27 countries, with shipping starting on November 7.
