Samsung One UI 6 to get animations improvements with next software update

The stable Android 14 update was released yesterday for the Galaxy S23 series. The update will be released to more phones and tablets in the coming months. Samsung started testing One UI 6.0 more than two months ago. However, some users are still not satisfied with the smoothness of some elements, and the company said it will improve those things in the next update.

One UI 6.0 to get smoother animations on Galaxy S23 in November 2023

Samsung introduced smoother animations while opening and closing apps and widgets using navigation gestures with the eighth One UI 6.0 beta update. However, those animations were removed with the ninth One UI 6.0 beta update. Those smoother animations weren’t introduced with the stable One UI 6.0 update either. When One UI 6.0 beta testers complained about the absence of those animations from the stable update, Samsung’s community forum moderator said the company would bring them with the next update, which will likely be released in November 2023.

The company’s forum moderator said that the developers improved animations and transitions in a lot of places in One UI 6.0 throughout the beta testing phase. However, they couldn’t implement animations for app/widget opening and closing with the stable update. The development team is trying to bring smoother animations with the next update for the Galaxy S23 series, which will be released with the November 2023 software update.
