Every year, Samsung releases a major new Android and One UI update for Galaxy devices, and usually, it publishes a roadmap with the update’s estimated release time frames for all the eligible Galaxy phones and tablets. The roadmap is published in the Samsung Members app, and Samsung does a good job of sticking to schedule for the most part and even manages to roll out updates ahead of time for some devices.
Recently, something resembling a roadmap for Android 14 and One UI 6 was published on Samsung’s community forums by one of the forum’s managers. It’s a pretty detailed roadmap, with exact release dates mentioned for the stable One UI 6 update for various eligible Galaxy devices, and it seems to have gotten a lot of people excited.
But is that roadmap accurate? Well, prepare to be disappointed: it’s not.
One UI 6’s official roadmap is still a mystery
The post where the release dates were listed has been removed from Samsung’s forums, and the dates were also very clearly inaccurate. For example, according to that roadmap, the Galaxy S22 lineup would be getting the stable One UI 6 update today (November 15), while the Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5, Galaxy A34, and Galaxy A54 would have received it on November 13.
The stable Android 14 One UI 6 update is only available for the Galaxy S23 series at this time. Other devices could get it before the end of the month, but there’s no official confirmation right now. Updates are released when they’re ready, and Samsung is still busy beta testing One UI 6 for various smartphones.
Samsung will likely publish a proper roadmap in the Samsung Members app in a couple of weeks once more devices start getting the official non-beta update. Till then, you should keep your excitement in check. Even the Galaxy S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra haven’t received Android 14 in all countries yet, so there’s still a ways to go for those who own a different Samsung phone.
