Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 4G with Snapdragon gets November 2023 update

A few days ago, the Galaxy S20 FE received the November 2023 security update. However, it was limited to the Exynos 990 version of the smartphone. Now, the update has been expanded to the LTE Snapdragon version of the device that was launched a few months after the launch of the Exynos version.

What’s new with November 2023 security update for Galaxy S20 FE?

The new software update for the Galaxy S20 FE (SM-G780G) is getting the November 2o23 security update in Latin American countries. The update comes bearing firmware version G780GXXS7EWJ8 and is available in Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Guatemala, Ecuador, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, and Trinidad And Tobago.

According to Samsung’s documentation, the November 2023 security patch includes fixes for 65 vulnerabilities found in the previous software version. These fixes come from both Google and Samsung and improve the security and reliability of the Galaxy S20 FE.

How to install November 2023 security update on Galaxy S20 FE?

If you have a Galaxy S20 FE and live in Latin America, you can now check for the new update. To do that, head over to Settings » Software update and tap Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our database and flash it manually, but you would need a computer running Windows OS and the Odin tool.

The Galaxy S20 FE was launched with Android 10 onboard and has received three major Android OS updates: Android 11, Android 12, and Android 13. It won’t get the Android 14-based One UI 6.0 update that other more recent Galaxy phones are getting. If you want to experience Android 14, you can consider upgrading from your Galaxy S20 FE to the Galaxy S23 FE that was launched recently.
