According to a report by Interbrand, Samsung Electronics‘ brand value ranked 5th among the top global companies in 2023. Thanks to this, Samsung has managed to be among the top 5 global brands for the fourth consecutive year. Interbrand releases a list of the ‘Best Global Brands’ each year, and as per that, Samsung’s brand value reached $91.4 billion and grew by 4% year-on-year.
Despite sluggish demands, Samsung’s brand value increased across all business areas in 2023. As per Interbrand’s report, Samsung’s rise and place among the top 5 global brands were all thanks to consistent company-wide improvement in customer experience, increased level of connectivity (SmartThings), enhanced gaming experience, the company’s innovation and role as a leader in future innovative technologies, including 6G, and its remarkable actions to strengthen ESG leadership through eco-conscious activities across all product lines.
In the official blog, YH Lee, President of the Global Marketing Office at Samsung Electronics, on achieving this feat, said, “We will always strive to be a brand that is loved by our customers through leading in technological innovation, enabling meaningful experiences and continuing our sustainability efforts.”
Some of the important recognized efforts of Samsung in each business division include mobile camera innovation in the Galaxy S23 lineup, launching the ‘Join the Flip Side’ campaign to maintain its leadership in the foldable category, pioneering 5G innovation with advanced Radio Access Network (vRAN) and Open RAN, strengthening its place as the gaming leader with the Odyssey Ark, the Samsung Gaming Hub, partnerships with global leading game streaming services, offering Bespoke home appliances, winning CES Innovation Award, iF Design Award, and more, delivering industry-first 12nm-class DDR5 DRAM, and more.
