Vivo X100 Series With the launch of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and the nearing release of Dimensity 9300, chipset manufacturers are ready for the next generation of flagship smartphones. In the background, smartphone makers are already working on bringing their new flagship devices. Xiaomi works on the Xiaomi 14, OnePlus on the OnePlus 12, and Vivo is working on the Vivo X100 series. The latest iteration of the Vivo X100 series is coming soon and, once again, we expect massive improvements in the camera technology. However, the new flagships will also see improvements in other aspects like the DRAM technology.

Vivo X100 debuts the LPDDR5T standard in smartphones

According to a reliable insider (source), all smartphones composing the Vivo X100 series will bring the latest available DRAM on the market. The LPDDR5T is the newest standard and aims to replace the LPDDR5X DRAM found on most current flagships.

Explaining the LPDDR5T Tech and Improvements Coming for Smartphones

The name stands for Low Power Double Data Rate 5 Turbo and offers up to 9.6 Gbps operating speeds which is 12.5% faster than the LPDDR5X DRAM standard found on current flagships. With the new technology, the Vivo X100 series will be faster than current smartphones and more efficient in multi-tasking. According to SK Hynix, it’s not exactly a new generation, but still it’s a big improvement for the current technology. The technology was introduced earlier this year, and should also appear in AI and AR/VR products.
