Samsung supplies world’s first 481-foot rooftop LED display for Formula 1

In an official newsroom post, Samsung announced that it has supplied a high-end and world’s first 481-foot LED signage system for the Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix in the US. Samsung has installed F1-logo-shaped LED signage on the rooftop of the 1000-foot-long F1 racing circuit building that expands over an area of roughly 2,617 square meters.

The 10mm Samsung LED display at the F1 Las Vegas Grand Prix has over 22 million pixels, spans wider than a football field, and mirrors the shape of the F1 logo. The Samsung display has a maximum brightness of over 8,000 nits. In addition to the Samsung LED signage for the F1 logo, the company has also provided LED signage on the exterior walls of the F1 building, three grand screens, entrance points of the venue, and many parts of the racing track.

As per the official information, Samsung has provided a total of 25,000 LED module units for the system. The LED signage offers immersive and close-up views of the race. This is not the first time that Samsung has been involved in providing its displays for major sporting events. Previously, Samsung installed its smart signage systems at Minute Maid Park, it also installed the largest indoor LED Cube in the Swiss Life Arena.
